Spring Races - The Izziana Image Way
The races are great fun and today they are all about glamour and stylish fashions. It's the perfect excuse to dress up and wear a gorgeous dress, styled with a fabulous hat and killer heels! The art of dressing up (complete with your hat) is making a comeback at the races, but there are a few tricks to getting your race day outfit right. In this four-part series, Izziana Image Consultants will provide you with some advice and tips on your outfit, hat and what not to wear.Izziana Image Part 4 - The Makeup!
No race day outfit is complete without makeup, especially lipstick! If you only put on one makeup product, make sure it is lipstick. Choose colours that compliment your skin tones and coordinates with the colour of your outfit. You can be bold with your lipstick colour, try warm pinks, corals and watermelon reds if you have warm skin tones and fascia, hot pink or deep red if you have cool tones.
For longer lasting lipstick applying a lip pencil first and make sure you cover your entire lip area. This will help hold your lipstick in place. Apply your lipstick and for extra hold, add our lipseal over the top. This is clear and helps seal the lipstick colour. It also means fewer touch ups and stops your lipstick from smudging and fading.
You should now have a fabulous outfit for the races including dress, hat, shoes, handbag or clutch and makeup to match. Be clever with your selections and coordinate colour, prints and accessories appropriately. Finally before you walk out the door, do a quick check to make sure everything goes together. If you think your outfit is too busy try removing one accessory (but not your hat!)
